Ascension Ink Tattoo Convention Brings Artists, Vendors and Entertainment to the Ohio Valley

OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. — More than 150 tattoo artists from around the country gathered in the Ohio Valley this weekend as the Ascension Ink Tattoo Convention returned to the Highlands Sports Complex.

The event features tattoo artists offering walk-in appointments, along with vendors, exhibits and live entertainment throughout the weekend.

Organizers say the convention is designed to appeal to a wide audience and includes family-friendly attractions in addition to tattoo-related activities.

One of the featured performers is Auzzy Blood, a Las Vegas-based sideshow entertainer known for sword swallowing and other high-risk stunts. The appearance marks his first performance in the Ohio Valley.

Convention organizers said the goal is to create a unique experience for attendees while showcasing talented artists from across the tattoo industry.

In addition to live entertainment, visitors have the opportunity to meet artists, browse vendor booths and receive tattoos during the event.

The Ascension Ink Tattoo Convention continues through the weekend at the Highlands Sports Complex, with activities scheduled until 10 p.m. each evening.
