Bellaire Opens Cooling Centers as Extreme Heat Continues

BELLAIRE, Ohio — As high temperatures continue across the Ohio Valley, two cooling centers are available in Bellaire for residents seeking relief from the heat.

Mayor Robert Dodrill announced that the following locations are open to provide a safe, air-conditioned place for anyone in need:

  • Bellaire Salvation Army
    315 37th Street
    Phone: 740-676-6225
  • Spirit of 76 Fire Department
    53890 Key-Bellaire Road
    Phone: 740-676-7676

Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, limit time outdoors during the hottest parts of the day and check on elderly neighbors, family members and others who may be vulnerable to heat-related illnesses.

Anyone needing a place to cool off is welcome to visit either of the designated cooling centers during this period of extreme heat.
