WHEELING, W.Va. – A Wheeling poet is now the author of a novella released Sept. 9.
Allison Pitinii Davis, PhD announced the release of her work, Agency 3: Novellas from Baobab Press on social media. The novella also features two other writers.
Pitinii Davis writes about industrial decline and job loss in the Rust Belt and is a recipient of a $25,000 creative writing fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).
She is also the author of Line Study of a Motel Clerk (Baobab Press, 2017–available here). The work is about her family’s two unique businesses, a trucking motel and a laundry in the Youngstown area that’s operated for 60 years.
