President Trump Approves FEMA Public Assistance for Marion, Ohio Counties After June Floods

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Governor Patrick Morrisey announced Thursday that President Donald Trump approved the State of West Virginia’s request for Public Assistance (PA) in Marion and Ohio Counties under FEMA-4884-DR.

“This Public Assistance from FEMA is critical to aiding our recovery efforts in Marion and Ohio Counties,” said Governor Morrisey. “I am grateful to President Trump for once again delivering for West Virginia, and to our federal delegation for their support. We are going to keep coming together as Team West Virginia until these communities make a full recovery.”

FEMA’s PA Program provides supplemental grants to state and local governments and certain private non-profits to cover their costs for debris removal, response costs, and infrastructure restoration.

The approval for Public Assistance follows the Major Disaster Declaration made on July 22, 2025, which unlocked Individual Assistance (IA) for Marion and Ohio Counties.
