SHADYSIDE, Ohio — Shadyside Village Administrator Erica Tamburin has resigned from her position, submitting a letter Monday through her attorney to the Shadyside Village Council.
In the letter, Tamburin expressed appreciation to council members for their efforts to work with her despite personal conflicts involving a former council member. However, she also stated that she considered her resignation to be “forced” rather than voluntary.
Former Shadyside Village Council member and current mayoral candidate Nick Ferrelli entered a plea agreement in August in Belmont County Eastern Division Court, resolving his case involving alleged stalking of Tamburin.
Ferrelli’s attorney, Ted Tsoras, noted in court at his client’s August hearing that Tamburin had previously accused another council member, Sam Carpino, of stalking in 2024 — allegations that did not result in charges.
Council members voted to accept Tamburin’s resignation, though her final day of employment has not yet been determined.
No additional details about the circumstances surrounding the resignation were discussed during the meeting.
