Local Sheriffs Team Up to Arrest Suspect in Property Theft Spree; Second Suspect Still at Large

GUERNSEY & NOBLE COUNTIES, Ohio — Sheriff’s offices in Guernsey and Noble counties have worked together to investigate a series of thefts from homes, garages, and other properties across both counties.

Authorities say Michael Addison, 41, was arrested at a home on Ideal Road in Byesville, where deputies recovered stolen property linked to the thefts.

A second suspect, Eldon “JR” Church, 39, currently has a warrant out for his arrest in connection with the case.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact either the Noble County Sheriff’s Office or the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office at 740-439-4455. You can also call and leave an anonymous tip at 740-439-6300 or leave an anonymous email at tips@guernseysheriff.com.

Sheriff Paden made it clear that the joint investigation is ongoing and additional suspects are already known to detectives. Sheriff Paden stated that the identities of these suspects will be known when warrants are issued for their arrest. Sheriff Paden urged those responsible to turn themselves in immediately and stated that failure to do so will result in their arrest in the very near future.

Sheriff’s offices are continuing their investigation and urge anyone with additional information to come forward.
