BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio – Belmont County Sheriff James Zusack announced Thursday that Andrew Isaac Griffin, 32, was arrested in Hawaii on February 18 for the 2021 homicides of
Angela and Thomas Strussion.

Griffin is charged with two counts of aggravated murder. Formal proceedings will occur
before the Belmont County Grand Jury where the facts will be presented and an indictment sought.

According to the FBI, “On Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at approximately 7 a.m., emergency crews responded to a house fire on Trail’s End Drive in Belmont, Ohio. When they arrived, they discovered Thomas “Tom” and Angela Strussion deceased inside their home. After the fire was extinguished, it was determined that the Strussion had been murdered inside their home and it had been set ablaze. Thomas Strussion was the owner of two Salsa Joe’s restaurants.”

The arrest stems from a years’ long investigation involving the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of various other law enforcement agencies throughout the country.
