BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio — As primary elections in Ohio and West Virginia approach, candidates across the region are filing the paperwork needed to enter local races.
In Belmont County, Prosecuting Attorney Kevin Flanagan has announced his candidacy for Belmont County Common Pleas Court judge. Flanagan joins Barnesville attorney Mike McCormick in the race for the seat currently held by Judge John Vavra.
Judge Vavra’s term is set to expire on Dec. 31, 2026.
