From Fire to Future: Moundsville Looks to Rebuild Downtown

MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. — City officials have set a March 19 deadline for development proposals for several downtown lots on Jefferson Avenue left vacant after a major fire destroyed the buildings last year.

The City of Moundsville has issued a formal request for proposals (RFP) seeking mixed-use commercial development for the properties located at 201, 227, and 229 Jefferson Avenue.

Officials say the goal is to facilitate the sale and redevelopment of the sites in an effort to revitalize the downtown area. The city remains open to a variety of proposals that would bring new economic activity to the corridor.

Interested developers must submit proposals by March 19 for consideration.
