MARTINS FERRY, Ohio — Members of Martins Ferry City Council expressed differing views during their most recent meeting regarding the future of the former East Ohio Regional Hospital building.
Some council members voiced support for efforts to bring the hospital back into operation, while others indicated it may be time for the city to move on from the property.
Police Chief Vince West told council that companies holding equipment liens have begun reclaiming items from the facility, including X-ray and MRI machines.
The status of the building remains uncertain as discussions continue.
