Union Pacific ‘Big Boy’ Steam Locomotive to Stop in Struthers

STRUTHERS, Ohio — The world’s largest operating railroad steam locomotive is scheduled to make a stop this summer in Struthers, about 65 miles north of Steubenville.

Union Pacific’s “Big Boy” locomotive No. 4014 will make a whistle-stop appearance in the city on Sunday, July 12, with an expected arrival time of 11:30 a.m.

The massive steam engine is considered one of the most famous locomotives in railroad history and continues to draw large crowds during public appearances and excursions.
