A portion of County Route 89, also known as Proctor Creek Road, in Wetzel County will be restricted to one lane beginning Tuesday, May 19, for a slip repair project.
The lane restriction will be in place at milepost 9.00 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through Friday, June 5.
Traffic will be maintained by flaggers during working hours and by temporary traffic signals outside of work periods. Motorists are advised to reduce speed, expect delays, and consider alternate routes.
Emergency vehicles and school buses will be accommodated throughout the project.
Suggested alternate routes include County Route 4, known as Doolin Run Road, County Route 1/15, or Brock Ridge Road, and West Virginia Route 7.
Officials say inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances could affect the project schedule.
