WHEELING, W.Va. — Drivers in Wheeling should plan for traffic delays as paving work begins today, May 26, 2026.
Crews will start milling operations this afternoon on 11th Street from Chapline Street to Market Street. Paving on that same stretch is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27.
The City says drivers will still be able to enter and exit the Market Street parking structure during the work.
Additional milling and paving is scheduled for May 28–29 and June 1 on Grandview Street from Stone Boulevard to 12th Street, and on 12th Street from Grandview Street to Charles Street.
Traffic will be controlled by flaggers throughout the project. Drivers are encouraged to use an alternate route when possible.
Weather or unforeseen issues could change the schedule.
