The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced two upcoming road closures in Harrison County for roadway maintenance and culvert replacement projects.
State Route 151 Closure
State Route 151 will close east of Bowerston from Deacon Road to Derry Road from June 1 through June 5 for roadway maintenance work.
Officials say Deacon Road and Derry Road will remain open at State Route 151 during the closure.
The posted detour will follow State Route 212 west to State Route 164 north, then State Route 332 south back to State Route 151. The same route will be used in reverse.
The project is expected to be completed by June 5, weather permitting.
State Route 149 Closure
Beginning June 8, State Route 149 will close just south of the State Route 149 and State Route 9 intersection in New Athens for approximately 21 days as crews complete a culvert replacement project.
Drivers will be detoured using State Route 331 west to U.S. Route 22 east, then State Route 519 east to State Route 9 south back to State Route 149.
The overall completion date for the project is September 30, 2026.
