STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — Several Steubenville projects are set to benefit from new state funding after the signing of Ohio’s 2027 budget, city officials announced this week.
Among the projects receiving support is the historic Grand Theater, which was awarded approximately $400,000 in grant funding. Local leaders say the investment could help drive continued revitalization efforts in downtown Steubenville.
Additional funding was awarded to the College of Saint Joseph the Worker, including a grant for the development of green space around the city’s town square and another to support improvements to the college’s HVAC building.
Friendship Park will also receive funding for restroom upgrades, while $150,000 has been allocated to assist with the planned connector road linking University Boulevard and Wellsburg.
City officials say the grants represent growing momentum for Steubenville and plan to continue pursuing additional state funding opportunities for community and economic development projects.
