OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. — Community members gathered Wednesday evening at Quaker Steak & Lube at The Highlands to support a local woman as she continues her fight against late-stage uterine cancer.
The restaurant hosted a “Dine to Donate” fundraiser benefiting Shanna Bedillion-Horn, with a portion of proceeds helping support her and her family during her ongoing battle.
Friends, family and local supporters came together not only to raise funds but also to increase awareness about uterine cancer and the challenges faced by those diagnosed with the disease.
Organizers said the event was an opportunity for the community to show its support for Bedillion-Horn while encouraging conversations about early detection, treatment and support for women affected by uterine cancer.
Those who attended enjoyed a meal while contributing to a cause that organizers hope will make both a financial and emotional difference for Bedillion-Horn and her loved ones as she continues her fight.
