Pennsylvania Truck Driver Injured After Semi Overturns on Interstate 70 in Belmont County

BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio — A Pennsylvania man was injured after the semi-truck he was driving crossed the median on Interstate 70 and overturned Monday afternoon in Belmont County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred near mile marker 200 on July 13.

Investigators said a 2025 Mack Anthem tractor-trailer was traveling westbound when, for reasons still under investigation, it crossed the median into the eastbound lanes. The truck then struck a guardrail along the south side of the interstate, broke through the barrier and overturned down an embankment.

The driver, identified as 69-year-old Robert Orsulak of North Versailles, Pennsylvania, became trapped inside the cab following the crash.

Emergency crews extricated Orsulak from the wreckage before he was transported by ambulance to Wheeling Hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
