WHEELING, W.Va. — The owner of North Park Apartments has issued a statement after residents raised concerns about possible mold and other conditions at the property.
Some residents have temporarily relocated, while others have reportedly left their apartments permanently because of the concerns.
Property ownership said it is aware of the reported conditions and is working to address them. Temporary accommodations are being provided while work is completed at the apartment complex.
The owner said the property is paying for those accommodations and coordinating directly with affected residents throughout the relocation process.
Local organizations and transportation providers are also assisting residents with needs related to the temporary moves.
“The health, safety and well-being of our residents remain our priority, and we will continue working with residents as this process moves forward,” the statement said.
The statement did not provide a timeline for completing the work or indicate when displaced residents may be able to return to their apartments.
