Actress Carla Jeffery, best known for playing Bree in Disney’s “Zombies” franchise, has died at the age of 33.
Her manager, Carla Alexander of Alexanders Talent Management in Los Angeles, confirmed the news in a statement shared on social media. Alexander described Jeffery as more than a client and extended condolences to the actress’s family and loved ones.
Additional information is expected to be released in the coming days. A cause of death has not been disclosed.
A native of Houston, Jeffery began acting at age 12. One of her earliest film appearances was in the 2006 comedy “Phat Girlz,” starring Mo’Nique.
She later appeared in several Disney Channel productions, including “Good Luck Charlie,” “Shake It Up!” and “Best Friends Whenever.”
Jeffery gained wider recognition through her role as Bree, a close friend of lead character Addison, played by Meg Donnelly, in Disney’s “Zombies” movies. Her character also appeared in the franchise’s animated spinoff.
