WEIRTON, W.Va. — The Weirton Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, as part of an impaired-driving enforcement effort supported by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and the Commission on Drunk Driving Prevention.
According to the department, the checkpoint will be held on Penco Road and will run from approximately 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Officials noted that sobriety checkpoints are publicly announced to comply with Supreme Court rulings governing impaired-driving enforcement.
