STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — Riley Gaines, former college swimmer and conservative activist, addressed a standing-room-only crowd at Franciscan University of Steubenville Tuesday evening.
Gaines spoke about her experiences in competitive swimming and discussed her views on fairness in sports. During her remarks, she told the audience, “The war on the woke has not yet been won.”
The event drew a large turnout from students and community members interested in Gaines’s perspective on athletics and cultural issues.
