ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio — A high-powered, hands-on event for the entire family is coming to Belmont County this week.
Belmont College will host its Big Machines Fair on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the college’s CDL Training Lot, located at 68131 Hammond Road in St. Clairsville.
The one-day event is free to attend and open to all ages, offering a unique opportunity for visitors to explore careers in the skilled trades while enjoying interactive activities and live demonstrations.
Attendees will be able to test their driving skills in a realistic CDL simulator, get an up-close look at commercial trucks, and watch live welding demonstrations from experienced professionals. The event will also feature heavy equipment demonstrations, giving guests a chance to see powerful machinery in action.
In addition, local EMS and fire crews will be on-site with emergency vehicles, offering insight into careers in public safety and allowing families to explore equipment used by first responders.
Food trucks and family-friendly activities will round out the event, making it a full day of entertainment and education.
Organizers say the fair is designed for everyone — whether you’re considering a future in the trades, interested in hands-on careers, or simply looking for something fun to do in the Ohio Valley.
