Marshall County Sheriff Increases Commercial Truck Enforcement Following Complaints

MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va. — Marshall County Sheriff Mike Dougherty says deputies are stepping up enforcement of commercial truck traffic laws across the county following a recent increase in citizen complaints.

According to Sheriff Dougherty, complaints have been concentrated along Route 88, Route 86, and U.S. Route 250, where residents have raised concerns about truck traffic and safety issues.

The Sheriff has directed deputies to increase patrols and enforcement efforts in those areas. A commercial vehicle stop conducted in Sherrard was photographed shortly after the initiative was announced.

“For the safety of our citizens, please report any traffic issues to us,” Sheriff Dougherty said.

Motorists are encouraged to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office to report commercial vehicle violations, unsafe driving, or other traffic concerns.

River News will continue to follow this story and provide updates on enforcement efforts throughout the county.
