ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio — Performers of all abilities took center stage Saturday as St. Clairsville welcomed back its annual “Everyone’s Got Talent” event, celebrating inclusion, creativity and community.
Hosted by the Ark of Ohio, the event gives participants an opportunity to showcase their talents in an environment designed to make everyone feel welcome and supported.
The program has grown considerably since beginning as a small backyard talent show in 2019. It has since developed into a larger community gathering that attracts families, organizations and local leaders from across the area.
St. Clairsville Mayor Kathryn Thalman was among those attending Saturday’s opening ceremonies and said the event is another reason for her to be proud of the city.
Organizers were also welcomed by comfortable weather this year, a change from some previous events that took place during much hotter conditions.
Beyond the performances, organizers say the purpose of “Everyone’s Got Talent” is to create a space where people with different abilities can participate, be recognized and enjoy the spotlight.
Organizers hope the event will continue to expand in the coming years while maintaining its central message: everyone deserves an opportunity to be included and celebrated.
