WELLSBURG, W.Va. — Brooke County Schools welcomed students and families ahead of the new school year Thursday evening with its annual Back-to-School Bash at Brooke High School.
The community event featured games, activities, entertainment and resources for students and families as they prepare to return to the classroom.
The evening continued at Brooke Memorial Stadium with a “Meet the Team” event highlighting students participating in fall activities.
Members of Brooke’s fall sports teams were introduced to the community along with the school’s cheerleaders, dance teams and band.
Local radio station 106.3 The River broadcasted live throughout the event.
The events gave families an opportunity to celebrate the start of another school year while recognizing students preparing for the upcoming fall sports and activity seasons.
Brooke County students are scheduled to return to school Thursday, Aug. 20.
