WHEELING, W.Va. — The Wheeling YMCA is preparing for an afternoon and evening of fall activities with a free community festival planned for October.
The YMCA Fall Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, from 2 to 10 p.m. at 55 Lounez Avenue in Wheeling. The event is free and open to the community.
Families will have several activities to choose from throughout the day, including inflatables, face painting, trunk-or-treat and pumpkin decorating.
The festival will also feature local vendors, a s’mores station and live music from the Route 40 Band.
The evening will conclude with an outdoor showing of “Hocus Pocus” from 8 to 10 p.m. Guests planning to stay for the movie are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair.
The event gives families another opportunity to celebrate the fall season together with activities for both children and adults.
