Major power outage hits Moundsville, West Virginia

MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. – A major power outage is affecting Moundsville Friday morning, June 6.

Power is out at the Moundsville Plaza, which forced Kroger and other stores to close.

The traffic light is also out at the intersection of the Moundsville Bridge coming across the Ohio River from Ohio to West Virginia.

There is no word on the cause of the outage or when power will be restored.

Appalachian Power services the Moundsville area.
