Heritage Music Blues Fest Returns to Wheeling for a Weekend of Live Performances

WHEELING, W.Va. – The 24th Annual Heritage Music Blues Fest is set to bring three days of high-energy performances to Heritage Port this weekend, showcasing blues talent from across the country.

The festival kicks off Friday, August 7, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., continues Saturday, August 8, from noon to 11 p.m., and wraps up Sunday, August 9, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Festival producer Bruce Wheeler says the lineup offers a diverse range of blues styles to appeal to all music lovers.

“I try to present all shades of blues, whether it’s mellow, upbeat, electric, guitar-driven, keyboard-focused, or harmonica-led – we’ll have it all,” Wheeler said.

With multiple bands taking the stage each day, attendees can expect a variety of performances, from soulful ballads to high-powered jams, all set against the scenic backdrop of the Ohio River.
