STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The Society of Mayflower Descendants in Ohio has made a historic donation to the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County — a 53-volume genealogy encyclopedia detailing the descendants of the Mayflower.
The extensive collection will be housed at the library’s Schiappa Branch, where members of the public can explore their ancestry and learn more about the early settlers’ lineage.
Library officials say the set is a valuable addition for those interested in genealogy and American history, offering detailed records tracing families back to the Mayflower passengers who arrived in 1620.
