Wheeling Health Right brunch bunch makes “Wicked for Good” plans for Chef’s Auction

WHEELING, W.Va. – The 29th Annual Chef’s Auction, themed “Wicked for Good” and benefitting Wheeling Health Right, is set for Thursday, May 8 at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, but preparations are already underway.

Wheeling Health Right officials, including Executive Director Kathie Brown, met with Taylor Long Bernard of the River Network and other local guests on Tuesday morning for the Chef’s Auction Brunch. The group met with the participating chefs.

The upcoming Chef’s Auction event on May 8 supports healthcare services for over 27,000 underinsured residents in the Upper Ohio Valley.​

Event Highlights

  • Culinary Showcase: Enjoy dishes from over a dozen local chefs and restaurants.
  • Live & Silent Auctions: Bid on dinner packages, weekend getaways, sports tickets, and more.
  • Entertainment: Experience live performances and a wine & liquor pull.
  • Special Guests: Local celebrities Taylor Long Bernard of the River Network of Radio and Digital Platforms and Bob Heldreth will host, with Jim Frio as auctioneer.​

This year’s event also celebrates Wheeling Health Right’s 40th anniversary and honors Executive Director Kathie Brown before her retirement.​

All proceeds benefit Wheeling Health Right’s mission to provide quality healthcare to those in need.​
