BRIDGEPORT, Ohio – Money continues to pour in following a weekend fundraiser held to benefit two Bridgeport High School baseball players who were critically injured in a recent car accident.
More than 600 people attended Saturday’s pancake breakfast and memorabilia auction, which raised more than $20,000 so far to help the players and their families with ongoing expenses.
The event featured pancakes, community support, and an auction of sports memorabilia and other donated items. Organizers say the funds will help the students as they continue recovering at WVU Medicine Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
