JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio – Officials in Steubenville have denied a request from the owners of Fort Steuben Mall for a six-month extension to address ongoing building code violations.
City leaders say mall owner Total Finance has made no visible progress toward bringing the property into compliance.
As a result, the city says the building could be condemned within the next 30 days if the violations are not corrected.
