JEFFERSON COUNTY – The Steubenville Police Department continues to investigate a shooting reported Tuesday evening in Steubenville.
Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Hollywood Boulevard around 6 p.m. following reports of shots fired. Police say they located evidence of a shooting when they arrived at the scene.
A short time later, officers were notified that a man suffering from a gunshot wound had arrived at the emergency room at Trinity Health System’s Trinity West hospital.
Investigators spoke with the victim before he was transferred to a hospital in Pittsburgh for additional treatment.
No additional information has been released as the investigation continues.
