CARROLLTON, Ohio — Residents in the Village of Carrollton will have a chance to get rid of unwanted items during the annual Spring Cleanup event scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, 2026.
The cleanup is being hosted by the Village of Carrollton in partnership with Kimble, offering curbside collection for approved items.
Officials say the event is designed to help residents safely dispose of large household items and clean up properties heading into the summer season.
Preparation Guidelines:
- Items must be under 4 feet and 50 lbs. if not bagged
- Appliances containing Freon must be properly serviced and tagged by a certified technician
- No 55-gallon drums, barrels, or cardboard boxes
- Furniture, mattresses, box springs, and carpet must be wrapped in plastic
Items NOT Accepted:
- Hazardous or toxic waste
- Oil, batteries, paint, and tires
- Appliances containing Freon (unless certified)
- Construction or demolition debris
- Concrete, dirt, brick, or stone
- Fluorescent bulbs or flammable materials
Residents are encouraged to have items placed curbside ahead of collection time and to follow all guidelines to ensure pickup
