President Trump Undergoes Routine Annual Medical Exam at Walter Reed

President Donald Trump is scheduled to undergo what the White House describes as a “routine annual dental and medical assessment” at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, marking his third visit to the facility in the past 13 months.

The visit comes as questions about the president’s health have continued due to his age and recent public scrutiny surrounding visible bruising on his hands and swelling in his ankles. Trump, who turns 80 years old in June, is the oldest person to take the oath of office and the second-oldest president in U.S. history.

The White House has repeatedly said Trump remains in “excellent overall health,” pointing to previous medical evaluations, including his annual physical last year and follow-up visits in October and December that included imaging and additional health assessments.

Trump has previously said bruising on his hands was linked to frequent aspirin use, while White House physicians have also disclosed that he has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition affecting blood flow in the veins of the legs.

Medical experts say annual physical exams are common for patients of Trump’s age, and outside physicians note that staying active and maintaining a busy schedule can be beneficial for overall health.

The White House has not released additional details about Tuesday’s examination but says the visit is part of Trump’s regular preventive health care routine.
