Belmont County Water and Sewer District will conduct work on a pressure-reducing vault on Thursday, May 28.
Officials say water service is expected to be shut off from 8:30 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m.
A 48-hour boil advisory will be in effect for the following areas following the outage:
- Crescent Road from Wheeler Lane
- Possoco Drive
- Crescent-Barton Road
- Front Street
- Center Street
Customers in affected areas are advised to boil water for at least three minutes before drinking, cooking or brushing teeth until the advisory is lifted.
