WEIRTON, W.Va. — The Weirton Hall of Fame Committee has announced the seven individuals selected for induction into the 2026 Weirton Hall of Fame Class.
The Weirton Hall of Fame recognizes current and former residents who have made significant contributions to the community through public service, business, education, religion, athletics, and other fields. Officials say the annual honor celebrates individuals whose dedication and achievements have left a lasting impact on the city of Weirton.

- John J. Bernabei
- Irene Markich Mindzak

- Richard “Rick” Rine
Sports & Athletics
- Melvin Lawrence Coleman Sr.
- Mandy Carnes-Ellison
Inductees will receive commemorative medallions, and their names will be permanently added to the Hall of Fame wall located at the Millsop Community Center.
Members of the Hall of Fame Committee praised this year’s class for their service, leadership, and dedication to the Weirton community, highlighting the positive influence each inductee has made throughout their respective fields.
