CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Department of Education has announced the recipients of the 2026 Albert Yanni Scholarship, awarding $2,000 scholarships to 30 Career Technical Education (CTE) students across the state.
The scholarship recognizes high school seniors who have demonstrated dedication, professionalism, and excellence while preparing for careers in technical and skilled professions. A total of 89 students applied for this year’s awards.
State Superintendent Michele L. Blatt praised the recipients for their commitment to career readiness and professional development, noting that the scholarship helps students pursue certifications and advanced training in their chosen fields.
Among the local recipients are:
- Kendra Boyd — Brooke High School (Brooke County)
- Aiden Caen Provenzano — Brooke High School (Brooke County)
- Macy Hartung — Oak Glen High School (Hancock County)
- William Medovic — Wheeling Park High School (Ohio County)
- Halle Barcus — Magnolia High School (Wetzel County)
- Vincent Sigley — Wetzel County Technical Education Center (Wetzel County)
The Albert Yanni Scholarship provides funding to help students continue their education and earn industry-recognized credentials as they prepare to enter the workforce.
