POWHATAN POINT, Ohio — A popular Belmont County restaurant is receiving national attention after being selected for an upcoming feature by America’s Best Restaurants, a media company that highlights independently owned dining establishments across the country.
The America’s Best Restaurants Roadshow recently visited Riverside Restaurant & Bar in Powhatan Point to film an episode showcasing the restaurant’s menu, atmosphere, and commitment to serving the local community.
Located along the Ohio River, Riverside Restaurant & Bar has become a favorite destination for both residents and visitors. The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring a variety of popular dishes, including specialty pizzas, calzones, sandwiches, and other customer favorites.
The national program focuses on promoting locally owned restaurants and sharing the stories behind the businesses that help define their communities. During the visit, the production team spent time highlighting Riverside’s staff, food offerings, and the restaurant’s role in the Ohio Valley dining scene.
Owner Derek Frizzi said the restaurant’s riverfront location and welcoming atmosphere have helped make it a unique destination in Belmont County. Since taking ownership, he has worked to create a place where customers can enjoy great food while taking in scenic waterfront views.
The feature is expected to introduce Riverside Restaurant & Bar to a broader audience while bringing additional recognition to one of Belmont County’s well-known local establishments.
The completed episode will be released on America’s Best Restaurants’ digital platforms at a later date.
