ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio — Emergency crews responded Sunday evening to a single-vehicle accident near Sam’s Club in St. Clairsville after a vehicle reportedly struck a traffic sign.
The incident was reported shortly after 6:30 p.m. Initial dispatch information indicated one possible injury.
Upon arrival, first responders found a black SUV that had collided with a stop sign. The vehicle sustained what appeared to be mild to moderate damage, according to reports from the scene.
Emergency personnel observed that the occupants remained inside the vehicle shortly after the crash occurred. Fire, EMS, and law enforcement units responded to the scene to assess the situation and assist those involved.
Despite the reported injury, emergency medical services were ultimately declined, and no patients were transported from the scene.
The cause of the crash has not been released, and no additional information was immediately available.
