STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — More than 20 development projects are currently underway or in the planning stages across Steubenville, according to Mayor Ralph Petrella, who says the city is experiencing significant growth in several key areas.
Petrella highlighted ongoing activity throughout the city, including the West End, North End, downtown district and the University Boulevard corridor.
Among the projects drawing attention are continued improvements near Franciscan University, including new student housing and the nearly completed Franciscan Square restaurant development. The mayor also pointed to efforts aimed at revitalizing the West End and the possibility of a new brewery opening downtown.
Petrella said the volume of activity reflects growing investment and confidence in the city’s future.
City officials are currently overseeing projects at various stages of development, from early planning to active construction. While managing so many initiatives at once presents challenges, Petrella said city staff and department leaders are working together to keep projects moving forward.
The mayor noted that Steubenville remains in a period of transformation, with construction and development taking place across multiple neighborhoods.
Additional announcements and updates are expected as projects continue to advance.
