WHEELING, W.Va. — Two of the most accomplished American ice dancers will take the ice in Wheeling this holiday season.
Madison Chock and Evan Bates have been announced as the star skaters for Symphony on Ice, scheduled for Dec. 3 at WesBanco Arena.
Chock and Bates are coming off a successful appearance at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games, where they earned a silver medal in ice dance and a gold medal in the team event. Bates also served as a Team USA flag bearer during the Closing Ceremony.
The married couple has competed together for 15 years and has built an extensive international résumé. Their accomplishments include three consecutive world championships from 2023 through 2025, six World Championship medals and a record seven U.S. championships. They also earned an Olympic team event gold medal in 2022.
The pair became engaged in 2022 and married in 2024.

Symphony on Ice is presented by the EQT Foundation and combines live music with figure skating as part of the Ohio Valley’s holiday season.
The event will take place Thursday, Dec. 3, at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling.
