BROOKSIDE, Ohio — The Wall That Heals, a traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., will make its way through Brookside before opening to the public at the Belmont County Fairgrounds.

Residents are encouraged to gather at the Brookside Village Building and Firehouse at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, as The Wall That Heals proceeds through the village on its way to the fairgrounds.

Community members are invited to line the route and show their support. Handheld American flags will be available courtesy of Park District #9.

The Wall That Heals is a traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial replica and mobile education center operated by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund. The exhibit provides communities with an opportunity to honor and remember those who served and sacrificed during the Vietnam War.

Following its arrival in Belmont County, the exhibit will be open to the public Oct. 1 through Oct. 4, 2026, at the Belmont County Fairgrounds.

The community is invited to visit the memorial during its stay in Belmont County to honor and remember the men and women whose names are represented on the wall.
