WEIRTON, W.Va. – The City of Weirton is planning a full slate of events to mark America’s 250th birthday on Saturday, July 4.
The celebration will feature the inaugural downtown car show hosted by the Revolution Car Club along Main Street, followed by the city’s Independence Day parade at 5 p.m.
Festivities will continue into the evening with a community festival stretching from the municipal grounds to Edward J. Bowman Field, bringing food, entertainment, and family activities to the city’s holiday lineup.
Officials say the events are designed to bring the community together for a milestone celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary.
