ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The City of St. Clairsville will soon have its water tested for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), commonly known as “forever chemicals,” by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Services Director Scott Harvey told City Council that even if testing of the main and Provident reservoirs shows no PFAS, the results will provide a baseline for future monitoring. City officials say the testing is part of ongoing efforts to ensure safe and clean drinking water for residents.
