A major redevelopment project could transform a long-vacant industrial site in Wheeling. Public records show Silicon Foundation has purchased the former Centre Foundry property for $1.5 million. The company says blockchain-based token sales could help finance a massive new data center while attracting investors from around the world.  

Shadyside police are stepping up enforcement on motorized bikes and electric scooters. Following similar crackdowns in Martins Ferry and Barnesville, officers say they’ll immediately begin issuing citations for reckless driving, speeding, and ignoring stop signs on streets and sidewalks.  

Wheeling Park High School students will begin the new school year with the same start time. Although research shows later starts can improve academic performance, concerns from parents over after-school childcare and family schedules prompted the school board to leave the current schedule in place.  

If you’re traveling through Steubenville this week, expect delays. Resurfacing continues on Sunset Boulevard, with additional paving work scheduled in Lincoln Heights and the North End.  

One person was injured Monday morning after a pickup truck crashed into the back of a Marshall County home on Lindsay Lane Road. Deputies say the crash was automatically reported through OnStar, but poor weather conditions prevented a medical helicopter from responding.  

The Harrison County Fair is now underway and continues through Saturday. Tonight’s entertainment features Tonya Shockey at the Mike Ferguson Pavilion, with the opening act taking the stage at 7 p.m.
